My Uncle John

April 8, 2013

I learned today that my uncle John passed from this life to the next. He was an extraordinary character. Larger that life, yet lived in the moment. My memories of uncle John were those of laughter. His wit was always keeping his family laughing yet at the same time could keep us on edge, because we never knew nor wanted to guess what might come out of his mouth. In many ways I found this very refreshing. He was a man of many words and most of them were colorful. He was a man that said what was on his mind. He never ‘sugar coated’ his opinions, yet truly cared for all whom entered his life. Many people knew about the rest of his family. But when he was with us he made us seem to be the center of his world…
More to come later
